LiseLou isn't the kind of writer who always knew she would write a book.
She's someone with ideas. With lists. With that little voice that occasionally says: “What if I just do it?”
At a certain point in her life, she felt it was time for a change. She wanted something different, something that fit better. On a list of things she wanted to do someday, one wish had been at the top for a long time: write a book.
She started. In between work. In bits and pieces. With enthusiasm, but also with doubt. The story grew slowly, was rewritten, polished, and sometimes put aside again. Not because it couldn't be finished, but because insecurity struck: is it good enough? Should I really publish this?
Until the realization came that procrastination is also a choice. And that regretting something you haven't tried can weigh heavier than taking the risk.
So she went.
Go. Dare. Do.
This first book tells the story of three friends who decide to let go of their safe paths. They doubt, adapt, and often consider what is expected of them, until the moment they speak aloud what they want. And feel that it's exactly right.
LiseLou writes an accessible feel-good story: light and pleasant to read, but with a clear underlying layer. Her story is about friendship, making choices, love, and personal growth. About discovering what happens when you don't have to know everything in advance.
She writes as she thinks and speaks: honest, human, and with humor. Without perfect characters, but with girls who learn by doing. Who make mistakes, doubt, and keep going nonetheless.
With this book, LiseLou hopes that readers will not only enjoy a great vacation story but also linger on that one thought:
What have I been putting off for too long?
Maybe that's a trip.
Maybe a relationship.
Maybe just say what you do – or don't – want.
LiseLou writes under a pseudonym. Not to hide, but to maintain distance between her writing world and her daily work. The name LiseLou is an anagram of her last name – personal, playful, and consciously chosen.
She doesn't know what this book will bring.
But she's sure of one thing: this story had to be told.
And whatever happens:
She can never blame herself for not having tried.
